Demon Slayer Plot in Brief
For them who don’t have any idea about demon slayer or to give a recap, it starts with Tanjiro, a kind-hearted charcoal seller, one day returns home to find his family killed by Muzan, with Nezuko (his sister) surviving as a demon but retaining some human emotions.
Determined to save her, Tanjiro trains under Sakonji Urokodaki to become a Demon Slayer. He wields the Nichirin Blade and masters Water Breathing techniques (later developing a more powerful dance called Hinokami Kagura). Alongside Nezuko and friends like Zenitsu, Inosuke, and members of the Demon Slayer Corps, Tanjiro battles Muzan’s powerful demons, the Twelve Kizuki, while uncovering Muzan’s origins and seeking a way to turn Nezuko human again.
The story is divided into multiple arcs including –
- 1) Final Selection Arc – Tanjiro trains to become a Demon Slayer and faces a tough test to join the Corps while keeping Nezuko safe.
- 2) First Mission Arc – Tanjiro’s first job as a Slayer has him fighting a demon attacking a town, showing his bravery.
- 3) Asakusa Arc – In a big city, Tanjiro meets Muzan and two friendly demons, Tamayo and Yushiro, who help him.
- 4) Tsuzumi Mansion Arc – Tanjiro teams up with Zenitsu and Inosuke to battle a drum-playing demon in a strange, shifting house.
- 5) Natagumo Mountain Arc – The group fights a creepy spider demon family led by Lower Moon Five, Rui, with help from elite Slayers Shinobu and Giyu.
- 6) Rehabilitation Training Arc – Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke recover at a mansion and train with Shinobu and Kanao to get stronger.
- 7) Mugen Train Arc – Tanjiro and friends join Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku on a haunted train to fight Lower Moon One, Enmu.
- 8) Entertainment District Arc – With Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui, the group battles Upper Moon Six, Daki and Gyutaro, in a colorful city.
- 9) Swordsmith Village Arc – Tanjiro visits a village to fix his sword and fights Upper Moon Four and Five with Mist Hashira Muichiro and Love Hashira Mitsuri.
- 10) Hashira Training Arc – The Slayers train hard with the Hashira (top warriors) to prepare for the big fight against Muzan.
- 11) Infinity Castle Arc – The Slayers enter Muzan’s magical castle to battle his strongest Upper Moon demons.
- 12) Sunrise Countdown Arc – The final fight against Muzan happens, with the Slayers racing against time to win before sunrise.
