I’m super late but I have just finished watching Berserk of Gluttony Season 1. So, now let’s talk about it including it’s plot, review, where you can watch it. Beside we will also be discussing the expected release date of Berserk of Gluttony Season 2.
Berserk of Gluttony Season 1 Release Date :
Berserk of Gluttony Season 1 first premiered on October 5, 2023, in Japan. But it started streaming on platforms like Crunchyroll and U-NEXT from October 2, 2023. The season 1 of Berserk of Gluttony consists of 12 episodes. Currently it is available on Crunchyroll in both english & Japanese dubbed and subtitled version.
Berserk of Gluttony Season 1 Plot Explained :
Explaining the whole season 1 story in brief, Berserk of Gluttony follows Fate Graphite, a young gatekeeper in a world where magical skills determine your status. Fate is cursed with a skill called Gluttony, which leaves him constantly hungry and earns him ridicule from others. He works for a noble family, the Vlericks, who treat him poorly due to his “worthless” ability.
The story continues and everything changes when Fate kills a bandit sneaking into the castle. He discovers that Gluttony allows him to devour the skills and strength of those he kills, satisfying his hunger and unlocking incredible power.
With this newfound ability, Fate sets out to grow stronger, he makes a new identity by killing hundreds of monsters alone and seeks revenge on those who wronged him, and protect Roxy Hart, a kind-hearted holy knight who showed him compassion and also likes him.
As Fate’s power grows, so does the darkness within him and the story ends with a super intense showdown between Fate and a mysterious figure named Envy & the divine dragon Tenryu. Though he survives the battle saving Roxy Hart. Later he leaves Roxy Hart and sets out on a new journey for a reason with a hope to meet her again. This is how the season 1 ends.

Berserk of Gluttony Season 1 Review :
Now, coming to the review part, so if you ask me about the anime, I enjoyed it. The anime shows a journey of Fate and how he was always neglected by others for not having any power. Later he realized his power and also realized his skill Gluttony opposes God’s rules.
Rather than showing the fighting skills, the anime more explores the journey of Fate through storytelling. It doesn’t focus much on fighting skills. Though here some fans felt the story sped up too much after the early episodes, with uneven pacing and inconsistent combat scenes. But overall it’s a good anime and you should try it once.
Berserk of Gluttony Season 2 Potential Release Date :
As of May 2025, Season 2 of Berserk of Gluttony has not been officially announced by studio A.C.G.T. Though the season 2 is very likely to coming as season 1 covered volumes 1–6 of the manga (about three light novel volumes), and with eight light novel volumes and 13 manga volumes available, so there’s plenty of story left.
And based on standard anime production schedules, the manga’s release pace and and the details available online, the season 2 could potentially premiere in late 2025, possibly in the fall or winter or probably in the next year in 2026.
